TED FARONE, Principal

An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and its prestigious Counselors Academy, Ted Faraone is a 20-year public relations and marketing veteran specializing in the media, entertainment, and communications industries.

In 1978, Faraone began his career in entertainment marketing in New York representing new wave musicians. One year later, he joined radio and television station WNYC as editor of its monthly program guide, and was later promoted to publicity director. In 1981, Faraone joined WNBC-TV, the NBC-owned TV station in New York, as publicist. After one year, he moved to CBS-owned WCBS-TV in New York, which began a five-year association with the CBS Television Stations Division. Faraone was assigned to (then) CBS-owned WCAU-TV in Philadelphia as director of press relations in 1983. He held this post until January 1986, when he was transferred by CBS to its Chicago television station, WBBM-TV. It was there that he was responsible for the implementation of CBS's successful public relations strategy in response to Operation PUSH, a nationwide boycott by Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Faraone left CBS in 1987 and decided to form his own PR firm in New York dedicated to serving clients in the entertainment and media industries.

A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Columbia College in 1978, Ted Faraone is active in the Public Relations Society of America, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, the Eastern Packard Club, and the New York Friars Club. Faraone's biography is published in both Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
